Barrel Bar-Code Management
Using the very latest in barcode and wireless mobile computer technology, VINx2 supports a truly wireless barrel scanning solution that frees your barrel shed staff from being tied to a desk or a docking station.
Cellar notes for barrel work (such as racking or topping) can be swiped by your cellar hands before scanning either a grouped or individual barrel as part of a job. The barrel list is then associated, in real time, to the work order saving your cellar hands from keeping a manual record of the barrels they've worked with.
Moreover, the wireless scanners can be used to interrogate any bar-coded barrel and provide detailed information about the barrel and information about its contents - such as the composition, analysis history and batch information of a wine. New barrels arriving at the barrel shed can also be added via the wireless scanners and quickly associated to the physical barcode labels.
This module allows you to accurately track the location of each wine batch in barrel through an easy to use system of coordinates tying together the aisles (rows) and stacks in your barrel shed.
