Case study - Belvidere Winery
Belvidere winery is one of the largest contract wineries in Australia with a crush capacity of 20,000 tonnes. Mark Turnbull, the managing director of Belvidere was looking for a modern winery software system using the very latest in database technology. The system needed to be flexible enough to manage the day to day operations of the winemaking and lab staff but also be able to report information directly to his board of directors and winery clients.
From a winemaking sense, Belvidere produce large scale bulk wine and boutique wines side by side within the one winery environment. Having a system capable of managing the level of detail required for boutique production but also flexible enough to track bulk wine including the thousands of barrels in the barrel shed was imperative to Mark.
